Mineral Point – Wm. Stanley Hinkins, age 88, passed away on January 22, 2013 at the Upland Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dodgeville.

He was born on June 8, 1924 to Charles and Hazel Hinkins in Belmont, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Joyce Flesher on June 4, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. He worked at Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas, and the General Telephone Company before working at Wisconsin Power and Light Company for 35 years. He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ and a long-term member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed his afternoons of card playing and loved visiting with people. He always had a story to tell and touched people's hearts in a special way.

Survivors include his children Linda (John) Clark in Cedarville, IL, Richard (Butch) and his children Scott and Jeff, and Terry (Connie), all in Richmond, VA; a sister Lois (Bill) Obert, a brother Lowell (Priscilla); a brother-in-law Donald (Ramona) Flesher, a sister-in-law Phyllis Blackbourn; nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, a brother Wendell and parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Mineral Point. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church and on Saturday from 10:00 until time of services at the CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Mineral Point.
