Mineral Point - William W. Nelson "Billy Bob - Willis", age 55 of Mineral Point passed away peacefully after a short illness at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg.

He was born on March 28, 1957 in Loves Park, IL the son of Wesley and Nancy (Harker) Nelson. He graduated from Harlem High School in Loves Park, IL in 1976. He enjoyed the company of his friends and sharing a good joke. He helped people in his own way, mowing, cleaning local taverns, and he lived life the way he wanted.

Bill is survived by his brother, Greg Nelson of Machesney Park, IL; his sister, Dena Nelson of Dodgeville; two nieces, Jaymi Ellery and Ashley Nelson; a nephew, Wes Ellery; great niece, Kaiya Nelson. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.
