Obituary

Coolidge, AZ - William (Bill) George Pertzborn Jr., age 58, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2021 at Upland Hills Health Hospital in Dodgeville, WI.

Bill was born in Madison WI on October 30, 1962 to parents William Pertzborn Sr. and Betty Fitzsimmons Pertzborn Dotseth. In 1969, Bill moved to Tucson, AZ with his family. While growing up in Tucson, Bill was active in Track and Choir. After graduating from Saguaro High School in Tucson AZ, Bill received an associates degree from Central Arizona College before later completing his Bachelors in Business Administration and Management at the University of Phoenix.

Shortly after starting college Bill began focusing and specializing in multiple construction trade skills. Bill later began working as a professor at Central Arizona College where he developed and implemented the construction skill training program for inmates at the Arizona State Prison. The program offers a second chance for skill training inside the prison to facilitate a productive transition back to normal life once released. He finally retired in 2015 and began to focus more on his other interests which included the many organizations he was a part of, as well as travelling across the nation.

Bill was a member of the Lions Clubs International, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, and the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. He was a life member of both the VFW Auxiliary as well as the American Numismatic Association.

Bill is survived by his son, Sean (Stephanie) Pertzborn, Independence MO; his dear friend Rachel Harvey, Coolidge AZ; former wife, Vicki Mcghghy, Grain Valley MO; his parents William George Pertzborn Sr. and Betty (Ron) Fitzsimmons Pertzborn Dotseth. He is further survived by his aunts Laura Linder, Dodgeville WI; Marina Horst, Ames IA; Margie Martin, Verona WI; Linda (Dan) Hooks, Owen WI, Edith Fitzsimmons, Madison WI, Adele Fitzsimmons, Raleigh NC, Donelle Fitzsimmons, Montfort WI, and Delores Butler, Madison WI; as well as his uncle Henry (Kathy) Fitzsimmons, Surprise AZ.

Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Brad Pertzborn; his uncles Peter Fitzsimmons, Douglas Fitzsimmons, and Joe Fitzsimmons; as well as his aunts Peggy Kilbreth and Mary Abdoo.

A celebration of life will be held at CENTENNIAL PARK SHELTER #2 in Dodgeville, WI on Friday July 16, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Bill's family welcomes all who would like to come and share stories and memories of his life.
