William Nicholas "Bill" Meuer age 90 passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Lakeland Hospital.
Bill was born November 4, 1935, the son of Norbert and Dora Meuer. On February 7, 1959 he married Lois J Biserak and celebrated 67 years together.

They loved and raised 7 children Louise Powers (Larry), Carol Schappel (Bryan), Daniel Meuer, Judy Humphrey (Jeff), Rodney Meuer (Pam), Jennifer Granger (Rob), Susan Meuer (George Howell). They enjoyed 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

Bill loved gardening with flowers being his favorite. He enjoyed writing country style lyrics and poems. Bill enjoyed trains and has taken the California Zephyr to Glenwood Springs CO, the Durango-Silverton steam train and the Empire Builder to Glacier National Park. He visited railroad museums and was recently able to watch the 4014 Big Boy steam engine when it toured nearby.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, siblings James, Norbert Jr., Joanne Hugill and Vicki Nadler.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Fr. Tafadzwa Kushumba will officiate. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery in Dodgeville. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:30 AM until time of service at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME.
