Dodgeville – Thu Dinh Phan, age 75, of Dodgeville died on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his home.

Thu was born on July 26, 1949 in Vietnam, a son of Hoa and Lan Phan. On September 9, 1971, he married Le Thi Le in Vietnam.

He served in the South Vietnam Army from 1968 – 1975. He cooperated with the U.S. Army to fight the North Vietnam Army during the Vietnam War.

In February of 1992, he and his wife and four children moved to Dodgeville and lived with Father Henry Kalscheur for 2 years. He worked at Sokol Crystal in Mineral Point and Lands' End until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

In 1995, he was naturalized with his family and became United States Citizens.

Thu is survived by his wife Le Thi Le; his children Hang T Phan, Hoang L Phan, Kimberly T McLeish and Kha C Phan; his grandchildren Lesley Phan, Kyler Phan, James McLeish, Henry McLeish, Kora Phan and Kyra Phan; other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
