Avoca / Mineral Point - Susan D. Pickett, age 54 of Avoca and formerly of Mineral Point passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

Susan was born in Chicago, IL on November 26, 1966 the daughter of Richard and Virginia (Lucas) Vaverek. She grew up in Chicago before moving to Mineral Point with her parents. She worked as a waitress at several restaurants in the Dodgeville and Mineral Point area. She married Troy Pickett in 1998 and they raised two sons Taylor and Sean. Susan enjoyed spending time with her boys, family and friends.

Sue is survived by her husband Troy and her son Sean and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Taylor on March 1, 2015.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Mineral Point.
