Mineral Point - Steven Edward Heron, age 70, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Oahu, Hawaii on April 11, 1952 the son of William and Betty (Kinsey) Heron. He married Zian Chen in China.

He loved the outdoors and was happiest riding one of the many motorcycles (including racing motocross). When riding, he always took the backroads as it was about the journey & not the destination. Also loved going fishing & camping (probably due to being a boy scout, with our Dad as leader). He graduated from Canyon del Oro high school in Tucson, AZ. Earned a black belt in Taekwondo and a black belt in Kajukenbo, along with teaching students in his own school. His biggest passion was playing music. He was in several bands, playing both lead & bass guitar, piano and singing vocals. He also did window washing & owned his own Chinese restaurant, with his wife Zian for 11 years in Mineral Point, WI. In his spare time, he enjoyed both collecting & shooting guns, throwing knives and his bow & arrow. He had a great sense of humor (hilarious), loved butterscotch pudding, old clothes and his fur babies. He had many friends who will miss him, along with his family. Steven is survived by his wife Zian Chen; three daughters Yanna Qui and her son Ru Chen; Yanrong Qui; Sophia Qui and her daughter Seleen Yoo and son Sejoon Yoo; a sister Nanci (Rick) Parham and their three children Melodi (Ki) Snapp and daughter Camille; Kat Parham and son Jaden; Blake Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Betty Heron.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Cemetery in Mineral Point. Fr. Michael Tarigopula will officiate.
