Highland – Steven C. Bomkamp, age 53, of Highland, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville.
He was born on July 12, 1962 in Colorado Springs, CO, a son of Lauren and Fay (Johnson) Bomkamp. He graduated from Verona High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Steven worked as a Postal Clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Madison for over 20 years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing video games, fishing and camping at Blackhawk Lake.
Steven is survived by his mother, Fay; his siblings, Roger, Theresa and Joe Bomkamp; his good friend, Jennifer Fredericks and her children, Rachel, Dylan, Robin and Samantha; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lauren, his nephews, Andrew and James.
A Public Visitation for Steven will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Private family inurnment will be held in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Verona at a later date.
