Stacy Chantel Mcguire's Obituary
Dodgeville - Stacy Chantel McGuire, age 33, of Dodgeville passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 surrounded by her family due to complications from diabetes. Stacy was born in Platteville on December 1, 1978, the daughter of Thomas McGuire and Carol Speth-Fedie. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1997 and was pursuing her Bachelor's degree at UW-Platteville in Business Administration. She worked at Pizza Hut as part of the management team.
Stacy's infectious smile and beauty resembled that of her idol, Marilyn Monroe. She was a caring person that was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She always looked for the good in others.
The oldest of three girls, she was a born leader and a confident public speaker. She excelled at State Forensics in High School and continued by conducting employee trainings for Pizza Hut. She was most comfortable helping and serving others. Whether at work or at a social event, Stacy always set the bar high through her graciousness, humor and people skills. Her customer service skills were one of her greatest assets. These are values that she wanted to instill in her daughter from her marriage to Steve Glonek.
Stacy is survived by the love of her life, her daughter, Anastacia (Ana) Glonek; her parents, Tom McGuire (Jean Wills) of Mineral Point and Carol Speth-Fedie; her sisters, Carisa (Kevin) Baker of rural Mineral Point and Erin (Rauf) Mirza of Madison; her maternal grandparents, John and Lola Fedie of Mondovi; as well as her Pizza Hut family and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Henry and Evaleen McGuire; and maternal grandparents, Orville "Buck" and Evelyn Speth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Fr. James Hinnen will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville and from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass on Friday at the church. A private family burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
