Obituary

Rewey - Sharon Florine Johnson, age 74, of Rewey passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, January 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Bloomfield Healthcare.

She was born in Dodgeville on November 21, 1941 the daughter of Lloyd and Dolorous (Boylen) Klosterman. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1958. On June 3, 1961 she married the love of her life and best friend Jerry E. Johnson at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodgeville. Together they farmed the Johnson Family Farm. She later worked at Lands End for over 20 years, where she enjoyed the social hour with her co-workers. Sharon loved cooking, gardening her flowers, playing cards with the neighbors and 4-H with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and following their sporting events, and also watching the Badgers and Packers.

Sharon is survived by her father Lloyd Klosterman of Oregon, her children; Bryan of Rewey, Brad (Amy) of Montfort, Bruce (Colleen) of Holman, Deanna (Dusty) Simms of Appleton, and Brent (Bobbie) of Mineral Point; 12 grandchildren, Katelyn (Theron) Oellerich, Jessica (Paul) Gothard, Jake Johnson, Brea Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Jahnna (Travis) McDonald, Jaelynn Simms, Jarrett Simms, Ella Simms, Malorie Johnson, Nicole Johnson, and Jerrie Jo Johnson; 2 great grandchildren Peyton and Josie and expecting the arrival of another great-grandchild in April. She is further survived by her 4 brothers Urban (Pat) Klosterman of Verona, Leo (Karen) Klosterman of Dodgeville, Robert (Shawn) Klosterman of Beaver Dam, and Mark (Dianna) Klosterman of Dodgeville; 5 sisters Dianne (Victor) Philipps of Janesville, Deborah (Wes) March of Oregon, Rose (Don) Williams of Waunakee, Marcia Murn of Dodgeville, and Jeanne (Ken) O'Brien of Oregon; a brother-in-law Bill Benson of Dubuque and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Dorie, her husband Jerry, her siblings; Paul Klosterman, Theresa Benson, Myrna (Norbert) Palzkill and Larry Klosterman; and a brother-in-law Scott Murn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Fr. Jim Leeser will officiate. Burial will be in the Mifflin Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. all at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.
