Arena – Sharon M. Fahrni, age 71, of Arena, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018.

Sharon was born in Sparta, Wisconsin but grew up in Mineral Point. She graduated from Mineral Point High School and on July 10, 1965, she married Lyle Fahrni at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. They lived in or near Arena all their married life. Sharon enjoyed knitting and crocheting and often made items for charity.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Ripley) Whitford, her father, George Shafer and her step father, Dale "Burly" Whitford.

Sharon is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Lyle Fahrni; her daughter, Melissa (Ted) Weier; her grandchildren, Justin and Stephanie Prochaska; special "adopted" daughter, Rose Shriver; her siblings, Valerie, Steven and Cindy and Lynette, Georgia and LuAnn; as well as other family and friends.

At her request, there will be no services held.
