Mineral Point - Sally J. (Kendall) Burgess, age 68, of Mineral Point, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her home in rural Mineral Point.

Sally was born on July 17, 1947 the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Martin) Kendall of Darlington, WI. She attended Darlington High School. Sally worked at Lands' End in Dodgeville until chronic back problems forced her into retirement. Sally married Ken Burgess on June 19, 1965, and they raised one son Kenny Jr. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and numerous cruises to the Caribbean and Central America.

Sally is survived by her husband Ken and her son Kenny Jr., her brothers Ken (Gayle) Kendall of Appleton, Bob (Jean) Kendall and Glen Kendall both of Darlington, her sister Mary Helmeid of Janesville and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Patrick.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point. Fr. Jim Lesser will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 until 10:50 a.m. all at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME.
