Dodgeville – Rose M. Ross, age 93, of Dodgeville, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville.
She was born on November 4, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to Lawrence and Anna Tencinger.
Rose was an amazing soul who lived quite an extraordinary life. While she never felt worthy of the slightest kindness she spent her active years dispensing kindness in amazing ways. In the early years of the Aids crisis she lovingly cared for those struggling and dying of the disease. Strongly called to Theology she ministered to many over her long lifetime, presiding over baptisms, marriages and guiding many souls on their final journeys. She had a soothing voice and manner.
A gifted writer she was well known for her "Random Thoughts" which were words of wisdom she compiled in numerous notebooks over the years. She was a mesmerizing and animated story teller. She had a gift for reading people and could immediately tell if someone was in emotional or physical distress. She could get a total stranger to open up to her almost instantly and provide them with comfort. It was something to witness. Rose loved people unconditionally & without judgement, always ready to ease a sorrow or share a joy. She had a ready laugh and easy smile. She used these gifts daily in the years she worked at Walmart as a greeter.
Rose will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Per her wishes, no services will be held.
