Mineral Point - Rosalie (Carey) Logue passed peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.

Rosalie was born August 7, 1927 to Edna and William Carey. After graduation from Mineral Point High School, she attended Platteville Normal College and received her degree in Education. She began her teaching career in country schools teaching grades first through eighth; at one point having 3 of her brothers in her classrooms. She continued off and on as a substitute teacher until she was 80 years old.

On June 21, 1949 she married the love of her life, William (Bill) Logue. Bill and Rosalie purchased the Dodge-Point Country Club in 1955 and operated it as a private club. They hosted many parties and events at the club: adult and children's Christmas parties, Kentucky Derby Day, Sunday family nights and many other fun events. Rosalie was an excellent cook and everyone remembers the delicious dinners and desserts that came from Rosalie's kitchen.

She always set the most perfect table. Her favorite holiday was St. Patrick's Day and favorite flower was the Belles of Ireland; she loved the shades of green!! Rosalie and Bill traveled extensively with the Chicago Golf Association to many foreign countries, they loved their winter trips to Arizona and they especially enjoyed their three trips to Ireland, the land of their heritage.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill in 2001, her sisters Marion Wilson and Jean Turek, her brothers Gerald, William, Richard, Robert, Wayne and John Carey.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, sisters in-laws and a brother-in-law, other relatives and friends.

At Rosalie's request, we are not publishing a picture; she would rather have each of you remember her smile, the twinkle in her eye and the way she looked in her best times!

Sincere thanks to Dr. Aaron Dunn, his nurse Denise and other staff at the Mineral Point Dean Clinic, Upland Hills, and the staff and volunteers at Agrace HospiceCare for the excellent care and kindness extended to Rosalie.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point followed by a luncheon and celebration of Rosalie's life at the Dodge-Point Country Club. Fr. Monte Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
