Mineral Point / Ft. Walton Beach, FL - Ronald R. "Griff" Griffiths, age 54 of Mineral Point, formerly of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Upland Hills Health, Dodgeville after a long battle with health issues.

Ronnie was born on June 12, 1970 in Dodgeville, the son of Gary and Linda (Doan) Griffiths. He has always been a sports enthusiast his entire life and he shared this passion by teaching and coaching students of many ages.

After graduating from Mineral Point High School, the class of 1988 and UW Platteville; he relocated to Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Here he furthered his degree in education by receiving his Masters Degree from Troy University. He was a devoted father, as well as teacher, coach, administrator, and athletic director throughout his 25 year teaching career.

He is survived by his children Madison and Jarrett Griffiths of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; his father, Gary of Mineral Point; his sister Sara (Tim) Larson of Barneveld; his niece and nephew Hailey and Hunter of Barneveld. He is also survived by his uncle Greg "Cliffy" Doan; his aunts Judy Doan-Brassington (Bob), Sandy Weitzel, Mary Sue Radtke (Rod), Debbie Griffiths-Holman (Rob), Vicki Staskal (Denny) and Sherry Byous (Jeff Trickel); his cousins Kyle Weitzel (Christy), Alyssa Gavic (Cal), Leah Sberna (Chris), Luke Radtke (Hannah Loudenbeck), Kain Staskal (Heidi), Justin Staskal (Melissa), Aimee Alvstad, Heather Alvstad, Hillary and Kipp Holman, Lori Schult (Brian), Jeromy Byous and Caitlin Jackson (Nick).

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda and sister Jill Griffiths

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 12 noon at the CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Mineral Point. Pastor Susan Stull Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
