Ridgeway - Robert E. Jacobson, Sr., age 84, of Ridgeway, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on December 9, 1934 in Dodgeville, a son of the late Albert and Gladys (Nelson) Jacobson.

After high school, Bob was united in marriage to Nancy Rosenwinkel on September 5, 1953 and celebrated over 65 wonderful years together.

Bob was a local Head Cheesemaker before joining the Labors Union in1962. Bob then began his carpenter's career with Carpenters Local 314 for 30 years until his retirement in 1996.

Bob is survived by his wife Nancy; his sons Bob (Denise) Jacobson, Jr. and Tim (Kathy) Jacobson; his grandchildren Sara (Nick) Henn, Wade (Nicole) Jacobson, Kelsy (Bruce) Haag, Lindsey Jacobson, Augie Dougherty; three great grandchildren Braxton, Mason & Eleanor; his brothers Jim and Gary Jacobson; his sisters Doris Brennum and Gloria (Vern) Ott; his brother-in-law Jerry Rosenwinkel; many nieces and nephews.

Per Bob's wishes, private family services were held.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Upland Hills Hospice.
