Dodgeville – Dr. Richard Rohowetz, age 77 of Dodgeville passed away Saturday October 22, 2022 of natural causes.

Richard was born on July 16, 1945 to Robert and Twila Rohowetz. He graduated from Queen of Apostles High School. Post high school education included: Holy Name Seminary, St Cloud State University, UW Platteville and Marquette Dental School where he met and later married Carla Szarafinski on December 26, 1970. Carla passed away on November 18, 2010.

He ran a successful dental practice in Dodgeville until his retirement in 2015. Richard loved to travel. When he wasn't traveling he enjoyed time at his cabin, local shooting range or home wood shop.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Carla, parents Robert and Twila and brother Tom.

Richard is survived by his siblings James (Lynn), Phil (Gail), Mark, Mary (Chris) Fitzsimons, Diane (Mike) Flora, Dave (Angie); his sister-in-law Wanda; his sponsor child Maite of Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Dodgeville WI. Father Bill Van Wagner will officiate. Inurnment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Saturday at the church.
