Philip J. Reese's Obituary
Monona / Dodgeville – Philip James Reese, age 73, of Monona, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 of a lingering illness at the U.W. Hospital in Madison.
Philip was born on December 14, 1943 in Dodgeville, a son of Edwina and Ray M. Reese. He graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1962. He married Sharon Gilmore on June 8, 1996.
Phil was a dispatcher for the Iowa County Sheriff's Department when his dad was the Iowa County Sheriff. He was a maintenance worker for American Girl for several years.
Phil liked to hunt when he was younger and enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends.
Those left to honor Philip's memory include his wife Sharon; his stepsons Kevin Gilmore of Boscobel and Todd Gilmore, lives overseas; his sister Carol Goltry of Platteville; four grandsons David, Kevin, Jr., Sam & Xinyu Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Alice Melandri, his brother-in-law Thomas Goltry and two daughters.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at EAST SIDE CEMETERY in Dodgeville.
