Mt. Horeb / Mineral Point - Patrice Ann Schmit (Patti), age 61, of Mount Horeb, formerly of Mineral Point, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 7, 2024 at Ingleside Nursing Home.

She was born on October 26, 1962, to Ernie and Wilma Schmit. In 1975 along with her parents, she moved to Sun Prairie and graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1981.

Patti lived most of her life in Madison. She rescued two cats, Molly Kay and Reba. Patti's favorite country and western singer was Reba McEntire and she traveled on several occasions to her concerts. She was also a big fan of Dr. Phil and the sitcom "Mad About You" and traveled to California twice to be in the audience of both shows. She also traveled to Disneyworld and to visit family in Texas.

Patti is survived by her siblings, Karen (Zeke) Garthwaite of Blanchardville and Tom (Nancy) Schmit of Mineral Point; her brother-in-law, David Doyle and her sister-in-law, Ardith Schmit both of Mineral Point; her nieces and nephews, Marla Norton, Jeremy Norton, Chelsea Cashin, Andrea Wilson, Kayce Stonebraker, Kathy Stevens, Laura Simmons, Mike Schmit, Kimberly Philips, and Anna Schmit.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathy Doyle, brother Tim Schmit, and her step-father Victor Ward.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held and Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
