Obituary

Dodgeville - Norma R. Schill, age 77, of Dodgeville, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville after a seven-year battle with lung cancer.

She was born on November 21, 1934 in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, daughter of Albert and Bessie Hanson. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1952. She worked as a bookkeeper for Burgess Battery, Dinex Rivet, Klinke Cleaners and Fox & Fox in Monona, Wisconsin.

Norma enjoyed reading, playing cards, making lefsa, golfing at Christmas Mountain, and baking her famous chocolate chip cookies and lemon meringue pies but most of all she loved spending time with her family, who were always the highlight of her life.

Norma is survived by her husband, Clarence Schill of Dodgeville; five children, Marcia (Mark) McCutchin of Edmund, Kris (Richard Kloster) McCarville of Prairie du Sac, David (Bear) McCarville of Mineral Point, Alan (Kara) McCarville of Mineral Point and Dean McCarville of Mineral Point; four grandchildren, Lindsey (Carl) Mueller, Jacob (Krystle) McCutchin, Beth Imhoff and Alayna McCarville; one great-granddaughter Alexa McCutchin; four step children, Patricia (Ron) Gilbert, Laurie Schill, Steve (Heidi) Schill and Dave (Jodie) Schill; seven step grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Morgan, Megan, Mackenzie, Lauren and Logan; three brothers, Raymond (Isabell) Hanson, Al (Ruth) Hanson and Marvin (Phyllis) Hanson; one sister, Ann Cutler and two sister-in-laws, Lucille and Phoebe Hanson. As well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Rueben Hanson, Curt Hanson, and three sisters Gladys (Clare) Thorson, Edna (Jim) Whitford, and Grace (Cletus) Roberts.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Rev. Von Roberts will officiate. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Upland Hills Hospice.
