Mineral Point - Myron Daniel (Myke) Bergenske passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Bloomfield Manor.

He was born in Madison, WI on May 30, 1937 the son of Gordon and Sarah (Beaver) Bergenske. As a young man he attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He studied Astrophysics and taught Astronomy in the early 1960's. When he left the university he opened a stamp and coin shop in Madison called Pyx and Post. Shortly thereafter he also began to design model rocket engines and machines to manufacture them. This led him to establishing Model Rocket Industries, selling proprietary products worldwide. In 1970 he married Dianne Roeser and moved to Mineral Point due to expansion of the model rocketry business.

Myron and Dianne soon had their two sons, Myron Daniel (Dan) and Nikolas Roeser (Nik). In addition to Dianne, Dan and Nik, Myron is survived by his two grandchildren, Alexis Paris Bergenske and Isaac Roeser Bergenske.

After Myron closed the model rocket business due to complications, he sold business computer systems and wrote grants for Iowa County. Myron's grants brought in millions of dollars for Publics Works and Housing Rehabilitations repair. He was especially proud of obtaining the wine-glass shaped water tower for Mineral Point.

At Myke's request he will be cremated and there will be no service.
