Dodgeville - Morris E. Hermanson, age 75, of Dodgeville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

He was born October 30, 1943 to Harlow & Lenice (Dobson) Hermanson. Morris graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1963. After graduation he enlisted in the Army serving 4 years. Upon returning he and Janette (Schara) married and moved to Dodgeville. Morris worked for GTE telephone company as a lineman for many years. Later Morris remarried Karen (Rowe) and continued to reside in Dodgeville. A career change would take Morris to Phoenix AZ where he lived for more than 20 years. Upon retirement he returned to Dodgeville to be close to family and friends. Morris was an avid motorcycle rider. During summer weather you could find him touring the country side. He took yearly road trips with his brothers as well as taking in the slot machines at the Casio. Other enjoyments were playing cards with friends or in his favorite chair watching the Badgers or Packers.

Morris is survived by three children Michelle (Art) Fischer of Columbus, Jane (Tony) Andrashie of Lavern, AZ; Morris Jr. (Jessica) Hermanson of Evansville; 10 grandchildren; his siblings Jerry (Tammy) of Madison, Mary (Richard) Duncan of Lancaster, Dave (Carol) of Mineral Point, John (Diane) of Dodgeville, Steve (Pauline) of Mineral Point, Wendy (Denis) Kitsemble of Van Wert, OH; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dorothy Petrie, his brother Gabriel Hermanson, his brother-in-law Pete Petrie and his sister-in-law Grace Hermanson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the RED ROOM in Dodgeville from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. There will be a small motorcycle ride prior to the celebration from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. meeting at the Red Room by 8:30 a.m. Motorcycles, cars, etc... are welcome for the ride. Food will be provided along with shared memories and stories to tell with friends and family
