Mineral Point - Michael John Bartnik, Sr., age 73, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 23, 1951, the oldest son of Thomas and Gloria (Young) Bartnik. He completed Ranger School Training in his early 20s and forever had a passion for it. He joins his late wife, Anna Bartnik, who he married on April 7, 1973, in Milwaukee. He became a self-taught IT and coding specialist, worked in manufacturing for many years and became a legend at Lands' End in Dodgeville, WI. He completed his Master's Degree and had requested to be called Master. He loved learning and playing with new technologies and especially enjoyed going hunting and fishing with his brothers Tommy Bartnik and Peter Bartnik.

Mike is survived by a daughter Melissa Bartnik of Monroe; a son Michael (Jodie) Bartnik, Jr.; a grandson Thomas Bartnik of Pound, WI, two brothers Tommy Bartnik of Neosho and Peter (Lisa) Bartnik of Cedarburg, his sisters-in-law Mary Thomas and Eva (Mario) Elizondo; many nieces nephews other relatives and friends, especially his best friend of 40 years Ed (Mary) Joestgen.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Cindy Bartnik and his beloved wife Anna Bartnik.
