Dodgeville – Mary Lou Schroeder, age 85, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Crest Ridge Assisted Living and spent her last days with family around her.

She was born on August 16, 1928 in Dodgeville, a daughter of the late John W. and Mary R. (Tredinnick) Davies. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1946. In 1946, she married Palmer Schroeder. He preceded her in death in 2007. She was a lifelong member of Dodgeville United Methodist Church. Mary Lou had a love for life, her family, the Badgers and travel.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Marsha Dale, Sandra Templeton, Mark (Debbie) Schroeder, Paula (Jim) Kozlowski, Timm Schroeder, Shelley (Steve) Schroeder and Stephanie (Peter) Goshorn; her grandchildren, Christopher (Katie), Jason (Tina), Brett (Samia), Megan (Carlos), Kristin (Brian), Kalen (Tyler), Lacey, Jessica, Paige, Logan and Keaton; her great grandchildren, Jim, Lucy, Sara, Andie, Jackson, Bo, Fletcher, Carlos, Jr., Emma, Cali and Cole; her siblings, Ed, Ralph "Pidge", Emma, Doug (Liz) Don (Rose), Tom (Shirley) and Nancy; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Todd, her grandson, Justin, her sister, Margaret and her brothers, Buzz and Dick.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Rev. Rom Pegram will officiate. Burial will be held in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
