Madison/Dodgeville – Mary Eileen Heun, age 90, died on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

She was born on June 4, 1933 in Dodgeville, WI the daughter of Raymond and Anna (Esch) Heun. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1951.

Mary worked for various insurance companies in Dodgeville until her retirement. After retirement she moved to Madison with her sister Joanne. She was an avid bowler, loved crafts, especially embroidering kitchen towels, participating in craft fairs and enjoyed going on bus trips and dinner theaters with her sister. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Middleton, the 5-0 Club, and the rosary making group.

Mary is survived by her niece Tari (Joe) Kennedy of Eau Claire; her Great- nieces Jennifer (John) Palzkill of Mineral Point, Neesha Heun and Tara (Tyler) Husom both of Dodgeville, and Cassie (Sean) Storin of Aurora, IL; Great-nephews Shaun (Kristi) Kennedy of Eau Claire and Jason (Jessica) Kennedy of Madison, along with several great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved sister Joanne Heun, brother Bill Heun, sister-in-law Eileen Heun, nephew John Heun and special friend Melvin Fingerson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Friday at the church.
