Mineral Point - Mary K. Cenite, age 93, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Mineral Point.

She was born on April 16, 1925 in Hollandale the daughter of Joseph and Della (Cathers) McGinnity. She attended Woodlawn school in Iowa County and later graduated from Hollandale High School in 1943. Mary graduated from Platteville State Teachers College and later taught at Blue Clover County School, Lost Grove and Diamond Grove. She married Bert Cenite and he preceded her in death. She worked for the Hodan Center (Hodan Community Services) for over 25 years as a Cook/Food Service Leader. Mary also loved going to Eddie's Sweet Shop.

She is survived by her son Nick of Mineral Point, a sister Geraldine Millard and a brother Gerald McGinnity, and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert, and a sister Agnes Dunn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Mary & Paul Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Fr. Jim Leeser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:50 a.m. at the church
