Avoca - Marjorie H. "Margie" Kienitz, age 51, of Avoca, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at her home. She was born on October 13, 1963 in Dodgeville, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lois (McCluskey) Jones. She attended St. Joseph's Grade School in Dodgeville and Dodgeville High School. On August 6, 1983, she married Bruce Kienitz at St. John's Lutheran Church in Avoca. She worked for many years at the Boscobel Area Health Care as a CNA and was currently employed at Golden Living Center in Muscoda. She was also a member of Avoca EMS.
Margie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; making and decorating Christmas cookies with Grandma Margie was always one of the highlights of the Christmas season.
Margie is survived by her husband, Bruce; her sons, Jeremy Kienitz (Sara Dahlke), of Gotham and Jacob Kienitz (Maria LaDow), of Avoca; five grandchildren, Justice Kienitz, Tegan Kienitz, Jordan Kienitz, Chelsey Offerdahl and Damion Kienitz; her brothers, Mike (Patti) Jones and Kevin (Stacy) Jones, both of Dodgeville; her sisters, Maria Jones, of Dodgeville and Mickey (Dennis) Jensen, of Sparks, NV; her father and mother-in-law, Bert and Doris Kienitz; her best friend, Terry Kohler, of Boscobel; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Lois Jones and her grandson, Gage Kienitz.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH in Avoca. Private family services will be held.
