Linden – Marjorie A. (Marge) Dorner, age 90, of Linden, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She celebrated her 90th birthday last week with her loving family.

Marge was born August 19th, 1924 in Linden, WI, daughter of Herbert and Emma (Reger) Rule. She married Donald Severtson and later married William (Bill) Dorner and was blessed with 7 children.

Marge was always open to helping people in need with a place to stay or a warm meal. After retiring from Carnes with 25 years of service she enjoyed traveling, wintering in Texas, shopping, cooking/canning and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She spent her most recent years at the Mineral Point Care Center in her "apartment" where she enjoyed reading, bingo and visiting with friends and family.

Marge was survived by her daughters, Diane Gilman (Jack), Donnie Severtson (Arnie Christen), Janet Rule-Howe, Carol Heibel (Craig), Kim Spurley (David Boatman) and Bobbi Faull (George); 17 grandchildren; Rick Gilman, Rob Gilman, Terri Jewett, Traci Gilman, Regina Severtson, Rejona Rickard, Rejan Severtson, Rich Severtson, Michael Rule, John Rule, Jamie Rule, Casey Cenite, Caana Heibel, Cole Heibel, Nicole Faull, Mackenzie Faull, Georgie Faull; 20 great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law; Dorothy Schultz and Ann Dorner; as well as many nieces and nephews and special friends, Dan Meier and Ozzy.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, her sister, Catherine Watters, her brother, Eugene (Bud) Rule, her son, Richard Severtson and her sons-in-law, Richard Miller and Jerome Howe.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Inurnment will be held in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.
