Dodgeville – Marguerite Mary (Meudt) Kraus, age 90, of Dodgeville, peacefully completed her life's journey on Sunday, January 24, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Marguerite was born on January 3, 1926 in Dodgeville to Frank and Leona (Otter) Meudt. On August 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to Joseph Kraus at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dodgeville.

Marguerite had many gifts and talents. Family and faith were most important to her. She expressed her spirit and took great pride in her flowers, gardens, sewing and decorating. Christmas was her very favorite time.

While caring for her family, Marguerite worked as a nurse's aid at St. Joseph Hospital, a school bus driver and especially enjoyed her job delivering flowers for Blooming Basket.

She is survived by her four children, Dorine (DuWayne) Wenger of Hollandale, Lynn Sullivan of Madison, Joan (Robert) Weber of Buckeye, Arizona and John Kraus of Dodgeville; her six grandchildren, James (Sheila), Eric, Alisha (Keelyn), Christopher (April), Lyndsey (Justin) and Kara (Paul); nine great grandchildren; her sister, Marcella Dimpfl and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her parents and several brothers and sisters and her son-in-law, Craig Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Father Jim Leeser will officiate. Burial will be held at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass on Wednesday at the church.

The family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dodgeville and Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center, Dodgeville.

The family wants to acknowledge and thank the Upland Hills Health Nursing & Rehab Center staff for the exceptional loving care they gave to Mom during the last four years.
