Belmont - Marcia M. (Fessenden) Von Glahn, age 79, of Belmont, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Manor Care in Platteville.
She was born on September 7, 1936 in Mineral Point, a daughter of Reuben and Kathryn (Kelley) Fessenden. After graduating from Mineral Point High School, she married Robert Von Glahn on January 3, 1954. She was a housewife until his death when she started working at Rick's Market in Belmont. She moved to Claremont, California in 1981 and lived there until she returned to Belmont in 2012. She enjoyed reading, knitting, croqueting and watching the Packers (as well as all Wisconsin sports teams).
Marcia is survived by three children, Robert "Butch" Von Glahn, Jr. of Amarillo, TX, James "Reuben" Von Glahn of Belmont, WI and Kathy Von Glahn of Claremont, CA.; one sister, Nancy Fessenden of Lancaster, WI; five grandchildren, Tori Burrell, Kirk Von Glahn, Nicole Von Glahn, Kristen Ramaker, and Heather Von Glahn; nine great-grandchildren, Rylee, Carsyn, Brady, Ethan, Cole, Celeste, Alexus, Jayce and Jaden; one great-great grandchild, Kash, and a daughter-in-law Mary Kay Von Glahn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Robert Fessenden and her sister Jean Stahl.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Belmont. Vicar Steve Neal will officiate. Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery. Friends may call at 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church.
