Mineral Point - Lorraine Marie Adams, age 96, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation in Dodgeville.

She was born on August 24, 1929 the daughter of Wilfred and Mary (Schmitt) Polkinghorn. Lorraine married Robert "Pep" Adams on November 12, 1948 at the Congregational Parsonage in Mineral Point.

Lorraine worked at Mineral Point School as a teacher aide and at the Mineral Point Care Center.  In her spare time, Lorraine enjoyed embroidering flour sack towels and pillowcases as well as crocheting blankets. She would often share her latest project with her friends and neighbors.

She leaves behind many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert "Pep" Adams on October 31, 2002.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Graceland Cemetery in Mineral Point. Pastor Lorri McGranahan will officiate.
