Dodgeville – Loren C. Polkinghorn, age 63, of Dodgeville, died on Friday, September 2, 2016 from cancer.

He was born on May 2, 1953 in Dodgeville, a son of Leonard and Geneva (Buckingham) Polkinghorn. He was a 1971 graduate of Dodgeville High School and from U.W. – Madison in 1973. He married Kathleen Sullivan on May 18, 1973.

Loren worked in construction and as an Ag Mechanic. In 1980, he returned to his beloved Hollyhead Farm to run the family dairy. He also worked for 12 years for Select Sires. Loren loved collecting John Deere, guitars and street rods.

Loren is survived by his wife, Kathy; his brothers, Bob and Tim (Rhonda) Polkinghorn; his brothers-in-law, Jim, Dan (Dianna) and Tom (Kadie) Sullivan; his sister-in-law, Darci Sullivan; his nieces, Brianna, Megan, Alyssa, Emily, Carley, Kimberly and Emily; his nephew, Adam; two great nieces and a great nephew; his step sisters, Susan (Russ) Hitz and Sonia (Richard) Hakes; his aunt, Melva Phillips; cousins, special friends and costumers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father, Edwin Mann and his brother-in-law, Scott Sullivan.

A Private Burial will take place at a later date.
