Linden - Leonard L. "Lenny" Bennett, age 77, of Linden passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on Saturday, July 10.2021 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Dodgeville on November 1, 1943 the son of James Louis and Ellie Irene (Lutes) Bennett. He married Doris Hirsch on February 8, 1963. He worked at several cheese factories and drove milk truck for many years and also drove truck for other companies. He enjoyed hunting, stock car racing, and spending time with family and friends. He is predeceased by his special companion Sandy Trost.

Leonard is survived by his daughter Robin (Mark) Kreul of Mineral Point; the son he never had Scott (Tina) Trost of Livingston; four grandchildren Tioni (Craig) Krantz, Ashley Kreul, Chelsey Trost and Andrea Trost; two great-grandchildren Aayden Kreul and Averee Krantz; his brothers Daryle Bennett of New Diggings and Bill (Debby) Bennett of Nora, IL; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his companion Sandy Trost, a sister Helen, brothers Clarence and Wayne, sisters-in-law Eleanor Bennett, Vickie Bennett and Deanne Bennett, and a grandson Jeremy Kreul.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point. Pastor Chris Droste will officiate. Military Graveside Rites will be accorded by the Linden VFW and American Legion at the Linden Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family.
