Mineral Point - Kevin E. Hughes, age 45, of Mineral Point passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 14, 2012.

He was born in Monroe, WI on April 5, 1967 the son of Dick and Cricket (Meinert) Hughes. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1985. He was employed at the City Hall of Orlando, FL as a painter and in the maintenance dept., before moving back to Mineral Point. Kevin enjoyed fishing and cooking for his family.

Kevin is survived by his parents, Dick and Cricket Hughes of Mineral Point; his sister, Sherry (Ed) Batton of Montfort; many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Kenneth and Betty Hughes, and Raymond and Bertha Meinert.

A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point. A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Davis Cemetery in Illinois.
