Barneveld - Kathryn A. Fargo, age 70, of Barneveld was called home by Our Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was at Agrace in Fitchburg and passed away peacefully with her family at her side.

Kay was born on August 9, 1945 in Madison. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ann Marie (McGann) Callahan. She grew up in Barneveld and graduated from Barneveld High School in 1963. She went on to work at First National Bank in Madison for 5 years. She met and later married her husband, Lynn Fargo on February 19, 1966 at St. Ignatius Church in Mt. Horeb. And they recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary earlier this year.

Together, Kay & Lynn worked & ran their family dairy farm for many years in Barneveld. Kay also worked at a job that she absolutely loved at Russell's Woodshed in both Barneveld for a few years and then in Mt. Horeb for many years. There, she really enjoyed socializing with customers and wrapping that gift "just perfect" for buyers. Kay also loved being with her friends. She was always competitive and enjoyed being a part of their card club & bowling leagues over the years as well.

Kay was a Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She had a very special generosity and love for her family. Kay was an avid Barneveld Golden Eagles fan and loved watching her two children play many different sports over the years. Then later, felt so fortunate to watch her 6 grandchildren compete as Golden Eagles as well. Her Grandchildren were her pride & joy; always a very important part of her life. And the family could never get enough of all the wonderful baking she always spoiled us with!

Kay is survived by many family and friends; her husband, Lynn of Barneveld; her two children Kristi (Troy) Marx and Kevin (Michelle) Fargo both of Barneveld; her 6 grandchildren Kelsee and Kauy Fargo, Lexi, Leah, Shelbi and Terek Marx, all of Barneveld; her two sisters Pat Callahan of Madison and Janie (Bob) Hansen of Oregon; her brother Raymond Callahan of Hartland, WI; her two brothers-in-law Neil (Joan) Fargo of Mt. Horeb and Ronald (Joyce) Fargo of Blue Mounds; also aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Ann Marie (McGann) Callahan and her in laws, George & Verna (Lust) Fargo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016 at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Monsignor Daniel Ganshert will officiate. Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville, where a parish rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

The memories we've made with Kay will live on in our hearts forever! She was so loved and will be dearly missed by everyone whose life she touched and those that were blessed to cross her path. We love you & know that you will continue to watch over us...
