Mineral Point - Kathleen C. Springer, age 86, of Mineral Point passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Bloomfield Healthcare after an extended illness.

Kathleen was born on June 3, 1929 the daughter of Matthew and Mary Agnes (Freides) Steffes. She attended Burr Oak Grade School and later Mineral Point High School. She was house keeper for Fr. Heindel for many years and later worked in the Dietary Dept. at St. Joe's Hospital in Dodgeville.

Kathleen married Ernest Springer on November 29, 1969. They farmed together in rural Mineral Point and she loved her cattle and sheep. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Kathleen is survived by her brother, Emanuel (Helen) Steffes of Plover and her sister-in-law, Donna Steffes of Mineral Point, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest, her sister, Marie Steffes, her brothers, Ernest, Gilbert, Jack, and Bernard Steffes, her sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Steffes and Jean Steffes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Ss. MARY & PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH in Mineral Point. Father Monte Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

In lieu of flower memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospice or Bloomfield Healthcare & Rehab Center.
