Mineral Point - Kathleen "Kathy" Lou Krase, age 60, of Mineral Point, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Kathy was born on October 24, 1962, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to Russell and Gayle (Smeja) Krase. She graduated from Buena Vista High School in 1980. Kathy worked in a variety of settings including waitressing, personal care, and other various service industry positions. Kathy proudly owned and operated her own restaurant - The Sweet Shoppe. Kathy enjoyed gardening, cross country skiing, and stained glass. She was a free spirit who enjoyed living in the moment, taking chances, and living life to the fullest. Kathy will be remembered for her generosity and kindness. Friends and family describe her as outgoing, loving, and stubbornly fierce.

Kathy is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Matt) Drennan of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, and Jessica Thompson of Mazomanie, Wisconsin; her brother, David (Robert Eversman) Krase of Monroe, Wisconsin; and grandchildren Nolan, Caleb, Alayna, and Everly; along with many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
