Cottage Grove / Mineral Point – Kathleen Susan Argall, age 51, of Cottage Grove, formerly of Mineral Point, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2013 following a long battle with cancer. She was born on February 6, 1962 in Darlington, Wisconsin, a daughter of Wayne and Marilyn (Hunt) Argall. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1980 and attended UW-Platteville, receiving B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Accounting. Kathy worked at Alliant Energy for a number of years before starting her own security counseling firm, which she managed until shortly before her death.

Kathy enjoyed traveling, country music and spending time with the people she loved. Her mission during her courageous battle was to live life to the fullest and celebrate all the people in her life. She took many trips this past year with friends and relatives who will cherish the happy memories.

Kathy is survived by her father, Wayne (Linda) Argall, of Mineral Point; her sisters and brother, Karen (Kevin) Jorgenson, of Mineral Point, Brenda (David) Scheel, of Big Bend, Connie Schult, of Mineral Point and Mike (Tara) Argall, of Prairie du Sac; her nieces and nephews, Kami and Kody Jorgenson, Caden and Bryce Argall; many aunts, uncles, friends, cousins and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Argall.

Kathy was a loving and caring person and will be missed by many family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH in Mineral Point. Pastor Leanne Rose will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Upland Hills Hospice.
