Dodgeville / Chicago – Katheryn L. "Kate" Chenier, age 71, of Dodgeville, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville.

She was born on August 22, 1943 in Hinsdale, IL, a daughter of the late Frank and Madelyn (MontPas) Loehman. She graduated from Lisle High School and on June 22, 1961, she married Marice "Shorty" Chenier.

Kate is survived by her husband, Maurice "Shorty; her children, Duane (Mary Jo) Chenier and Leslie (Philip, Jr.) Wood; her grandchildren, Brock Chenier, Kyla Jo Chenier, Philip M. Wood, III, Julien Wood; her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Domianus; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends who adored her in Illinois and Wisconsin.
