Beloit, WI - Karla Goldthorpe, age 58, formerly of Dodgeville/Mineral Point, Rockford, IL and Spring Green, died unexpectedly on February 26, 2015. Karla was born on January 7, 1957 to John and Nancy Goldthorpe. She grew up on a farm in the Dodgeville/Mineral Point area. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1975, and later received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1979. She worked in Retail as a department supervisor for over 30 years.

Karla was passionate about many things, including animals, music and Native American history and culture. She enjoyed reading books and traveling with her friends.

Karla is survived by her two nephews and niece, Charles Goldthorpe, of Mount Horeb, Meghan Goldthorpe (Jamie Holum) of Madison, and Rob Goldthorpe, of Milwaukee; many aunts, uncles, cousins and her friends in the Beloit area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her brother, Philip Goldthorpe.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the GORGEN FUNERAL HOME in Mineral Point. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
