Dodgeville – Judith A. Crook, age 67, of Dodgeville, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville.
She was born on June 28, 1946 in Dodgeville, a daughter of Ralph and Olga (Longseth) Crook. She graduated from Spring Green High School and then went onto work at Bloomfield Manor as a baker, cook and nurse's aid. She met and married John P. Wawrzyniak. She later farmed at Silver Acre Farms in Belleville, Wisconsin, where she met her second husband, Sterling Gieger. Toward later years, she took care of the elderly at her home in Dodgeville. She was also a care giver for several people in their homes.
Judy loved people, horses and dogs. She was a avid horse back rider, who later went on to raise horses and dogs, which was her passion. Judy also loved flowers that she grew with a green thumb and painted beautiful ceramics which she enjoyed.
Judy is survived by her son, Ralph P. Wawrzyniak; her sister, Janis Crook; her sister-in-law, Sharon Crook; several nieces and nephews, who she loved very much. Judy was a good friend and will be dearly missed by all.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
