Joan A. Pope's Obituary
Dodgeville - Joan A. Pope, age 92, of Dodgeville, Wisconsin died on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 of natural causes.
She was born on September 12, 1931 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy and Lillian (Johnson) Wettstein. She was married to James R. Pope on March 19, 1960 in Baraboo. Their marriage was blessed with two children. Joan was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dodgeville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Jim), and her sister (Joyce Vogel).
Joan is survived by her daughter Sharon (Dr. Barry) Fields of Birmingham, Alabama and son David J. Pope (Jane) of Dodgeville; her grandchildren Zachary (Sarah) Pope and Rachel (Jim) Bridges and Alex Fields and Carter (Shelby) Fields; and her great-grandchildren Nathan and Carter Bridges.
The family would also genuinely like to thank Crestridge Assisted Living in Dodgeville, Ingleside Communities in Mt. Horeb, and ProMedica Hospice for the wonderful care that they all gave to our mother while she was under their care.
A private family inurnment will be held for the family at Eastside Cemetery in Dodgeville.
