Obituary

Mineral Point - Jill Jean Griffiths, age 46 of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30 at Upland Hills Health, Dodgeville surrounded by her loving family.

Jill was born on February 23, 1974 the daughter of Gary and Linda (Doan) Griffiths. She loved life and had many special, caring friends. She had a heart of gold and an infectious smile that could light up the room. She was so kindhearted and giving and loved by so many.

Jill attended cosmetology school and became a barber. She enjoyed bartending and having a good time. Her most recent jobs were cooking at Dodge-Point Country Club and working full-time at the Mineral Point Hodan Community Center as a home care provider. She loved her job as much as her clients loved her. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her 13-year old fur-baby, Tippy. She is further survived by her parents, Gary and Linda, a brother Ron (Tina) and a sister Sara Larson (Tim), nieces and nephews Madison and Jarrett Griffiths, Ashley Walters (Nick), and Hailey and Hunter Larson. She is also survived by her uncle Greg Doan (Jen), aunts, Judy Doan-Brassington (Bob), Sandy Weitzel, Mary Sue Radtke (Rod), Debbie Griffiths-Holman (Rob), Vicki Staskal (Denny) and Sherry Byous (Jeff Trickel). Also survived by cousins Kyle Weitzel (Christy), Alyssa Kenyon (Cal Gavic), Leah Sberna (Chris), Luke Radtke (Jackie Evanchik), Kain Staskal (Heidi), Justin Staskal (Melissa), Aimee Alvstad, Heather Alvstad, Hillary and Kipp Holman, Lorie Schult (Brian), Jeromy Byous and Caitlin Jackson (Nick).

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifford and Norma Jean Doan, Roger Griffiths, Margaret Griffiths Roberts and Jake Roberts and an uncle, Larry Weitzel.

A visitation will be held at the Congregational U.C.C. church in Mineral Point on Friday, September 4 from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm, with a private Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 pm. Pastor Bev Davis will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Jill's name would be appreciated.

Due to Wisconsin's public health mandate, masks are to be worn during the duration of your visit inside of the church and that you practice proper social distancing guidelines.

The family would like to thank Upland Hills Health for their compassionate care of both Jill and family.

Burial at Graceland Cemetery, Mineral Point will be at a later date.
