Barneveld – Jerome J. Buol, age 78, of Barneveld, went to heaven on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 20, 1939 in Madison, a son of Jacob O. and Florence (Laufenberg) Buol. On February 4, 1959, he married the love of his life Marian Meyer.

Jerome farmed all his life, working on the family farm and many other neighboring farms. He farmer until 1987 and then he worked for Daniels Construction. He loved hunting, trapping, dancing the polka, cracking nuts and making wine and pies. He especially loved fishing with the grandkids and trips to the cabin.

Jerome is survived by his children Jerome F. Buol, Jeana M. (Scott) Archer, Julene K. (Rick) Garner and James J. Buol (Cheryl); his grandchildren Kaitlyn (Eric) Bymers, Heather (Craig) Kaufman, Hilary (Shaun) Lawry, Amanda (Seth) Luedtke, Abbey Archer, Aaron Archer, Hope Archer and Christopher Buol; six great grandchildren Shane Lawry, Carson Lawry, Jordan Luedtke, Josephine Luedtke, Hadlee Bymers and Baby Kaufman; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marian, infant son Joseph and his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at ST. BRIDGET'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Ridgeway. Father Steven Petrica will officiate. Burial will be held in St. Bridget's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville and from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Tuesday at the church.
