Mineral Point – James Cody Richards, age 27, of Mineral Point, left this earth and went home to be with his Lord on Friday, August 23, 2013, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

"Cody" was born the son of Debra J. Richards (Verona, WI) and Allen McVay (Edmund, WI). He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 2005, and has resided there since. Cody was head mechanic and shop manager with Triple "D" Farms, Mineral Point. He loved motor sports, boating, hunting, and spent countless hours in the woods with his beloved friends. Cody is remembered for, among many things, enjoying life everyday, no matter how it started and living it to the fullest. Cody blessed everyone that came into his life with his love of life, smile, humor and laughter. He leaves an enormous void in many lives – his size 13 work boots will not be easily filled.

He is survived by; his mother, Debra J. Richards; father, Allen McVay; grandparents, Jack and Sandra Richards, of Dodgeville; grandmother, Patricia Kilkelly, of Dodgeville; brother, Jeremy McVay; sister, Tracy (Josh) Green; 1 great uncle, 8 Aunts; 7 Uncles; 1 niece; 1 nephew and 2 great nieces; numerous cousins and friends.
Cody leaves behind his three precious children; Surie Lee Davies, Finn James Fitzsimons, Aayden Joseph Kreul-Richards, and Fiance', Tioni Kreul (Mineral Point).

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the LIFE CHURCH, 2770 Brandywein Trail, Mount Horeb, WI. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am – 11:45 am at the LIFE CHURCH. A celebration of Cody's life will follow at Triple D Farms, hosted by his loving friends and the Dannenberg family, located at 360 Pleasant View Road in Mineral Point.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
