Obituary

Mifflin - James Lambert Orth Sr. age 82, of Mifflin passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Mineral Point Care Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 5, 1932 the son of Lambert and Frieda (Radtke) Orth. He married Charlotte Davis on July 6, 1962. He worked in the custodial department for the State of Wisconsin for over 25 years. He enjoyed his trips to the casino, playing cards (especially Solitary) , fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

James is survived by his children; Viola Brennan of Idaho, James (Jennifer) Orth Jr. of Mifflin, and Robert (Vicky) Orth of Beaver Dam, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two sisters Delores Noggle and Catherine Palzkill, and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlotte, three infant children Mary, Joseph, and Rosemary; two grandchildren Nathaniel Brennan and Tiffany Orth-Waterman, son-in-law Patrick Brennan, a sister Doris Schlamp, and brother Raymond Orth.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Mineral Point. Pastor Rich McLeer will officiate. Burial will be in the Mifflin Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH.
