Obituary

Dodgeville - Ione M. Williams age 85 of Dodgeville, left this earth to dance among the stars in her heavenly home on October 20, 2015 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center.

Ione was born February 23, 1930 in Dodgeville to Arthur and Martha Van Epps. She married Chuck Williams on February 20, 1954 in a candlelight ceremony. They lovingly enjoyed their life together for over 60 years.

Ione graduated from Dodgeville high school and earned her degree at Madison Business College.

She worked for the American Red Cross, Department of Social Services and Department of Commerce in Washington D.C. She retired from Lands' End after 18 years.

Ione enjoyed her flower garden, reading, refinishing furniture, golfing, bowling, cooking and decorating her home.

Ione is survived by her children, Leigh Williams of Dodgeville, Lynne (Steve) Behr, of Virginia Beach, VA, Brian (Kim Griffiths) Williams, of Dodgeville; her grandchildren, Angela Garthwaite (Josh Kiesling), Lance (Lori) Meudt, Kyle Meudt; her great grandchildren, Emily and Maggie Garthwaite, Charlie and Reese Meudt; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, June and Ken Jewell; many nieces and nephews and special cousins, Mary Ann, Les and Dick; and special friend, Mary Rink.

Ione was preceded in death by her husband Chuck, her parents, Arthur and Martha, her sisters, Leila Williams and Marguerite "Muggs" Potts, her brothers, Butch, Ted and Hank Van Epps, her sisters-in-law, Dee Ann Van Epps, Lois Van Epps, Margaret Collins, Joyce Weier, her brothers-in-law, Don Williams, Vince Weier, Cliff Collins, Ken Potts and her beloved canine friend, Magic.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at East Side Cemetery.

She loved her Family dearly.
