Linden - Harold E. (Mac) McGranahan, age 73, of Linden, WI passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at his home, after an extended illness.

Harold was born on March 23, 1943, the second of two children to Vernon and Marcella (Johnson) McGranahan. He graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1961. Harold worked as an auto mechanic, including time at Hannah's "66" in Mineral Point. He began working road construction with Ryan, Schultz, and Dahl of Verona, WI, then later on with James Rule Construction of Dodgeville, which eventually led to him operating his own business, Mac's Construction of Rewey, WI.

Throughout his life Harold was a fan of stock car racing. From the long since closed local dirt tracks to NASCAR, he was a fan of many drivers.

Survivors of Harold include Pat McGranahan, Heather Graul and her husband Bernie, and his special grandson Brandon Graul.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Edith McGranahan, of Linden; and his maternal grandparents, Ned and Ida Johnson, of Dodgeville.
