Madison / Dodgeville – Gerald W. "Jerry" DeMuth, age 76, of Madison, formerly of Dodgeville, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at University Hospital.

He was born on May 3, 1943 in Marion, Iowa, a son of the late Walter and Cyrilla (Burlage) DeMuth. He graduated from Warren High School and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. On June 5, 1965 he married Lynette McKee and was blessed with daughters De and Brandy. They relocated to Dodgeville, where he managed the Dodgeville Farm & Fleet until he became an over the road trucker for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching sports and especially his annual fishing trip with his brothers.

Jerry is survived by his life companion Theresa Bell of Madison; his daughters De (John) Moreth of Mineral Point and Brandy (Guy Grunow) DeMuth of Dodgeville; his grandchildren Bridget (Brent) Martin, Abby Spurley, Tad Spurley and Tony (Holly) DeMuth; his great grandchildren Dax and Jorja DeMuth; Theresa's children Jeremy Bell and Adam (Sarah) Bell; her grandchildren Trinity, Brayden, Autumn, Jenna, Preston, Noah; her great grandson due in June; his sisters Judy (Bill) Holland and Nancy Foster; his brothers Kenny DeMuth and Doug DeMuth; his four legged companion Mya "Girlie"; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lois Diedrich, his brother Dale DeMuth and his brothers-in-law John Foster and Duke Diedrich.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at a later date.
