Mineral Point - Gerald A. "Ginny" McGinnity, age 86, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Mineral Point.

He was born on October 25, 1932 the son of Joe and Della (Cathers) McGinnity. He graduated from Hollandale High School. Ginny worked for a Natural Gas Pipeline Company based out of Minnesota, working and traveling all over the United States. He also worked for many area farmers during the winter months. He enjoyed playing a good game of cards, especially euchre. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Ginny is survived by his twin sister Geraldine Millard of Mineral Point and many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and a special great-great niece McGinnity Yanna.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Agnes Dunn and Mary Cenite.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Mary & Paul's Catholic Church in Mineral Point. Fr Michael Tarigopula will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 until 10:55 at the church.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Tony's Tap in Mineral Point following services.
